NORTE ARGENTINO

It is a historical-geographical region of Argentina, being integrated by the provinces of: Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Catamarca, La Rioja and Santiago del Estero. It occupies just over 20% of the national territory. Its tourist epicenter, in this case the City of Salta Capital, is located about 1450km to the Northwest of the City of Buenos Aires.
The NOA is characterized by its extraordinary landscapes that are often contrasted: thus, Andean mountain ranges and foothills bordering on 6000 m asl can be found, as extensive flat areas and very few km away if you go from east to west (or vice versa), extremely desert like the Puna de Atacama topped by high mountains that are always snow-capped called nevados (such as the Nevado de Cachi) and extremely humid areas of dense tropical and subtropical jungles such as the Yungas (historically known in Argentina as Tucumanooranense). They usually communicate going down from north to south or from northwest to southeast to these different regions through huge ravines such as Humahuaca and El Toro.
It is one of the most beautiful landscape and cultural regions, where you will be able to glimpse its majesty and immerse yourself in the culture of the people of northern Argentina.
